Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a skilled Behavior Specialist to support an elementary school in Anoka, MN, on a contract basis for the current school year. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in behavior intervention and support within a school setting, helping to create a positive and productive learning environment for students.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Behavior Specialist, preferably in elementary education settings
- In-depth knowledge of behavior management techniques and intervention strategies
- Ability to assess student needs and develop individualized behavior support plans
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and support staff
- Excellent communication and data collection skills for monitoring progress and outcomes
- Understanding of special education laws and regulations

Duration: Current School Year (Contract)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify student needs and triggers
- Develop and implement targeted behavior intervention plans tailored to individual students
- Provide direct support and coaching to students exhibiting challenging behaviors
- Work collaboratively with school staff and families to promote consistent behavior strategies
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide professional development and support to school personnel on behavioral best practices
